You won't want to miss this very special event as we attempt to set the Canadian Record for the Largest number of dogs staying at the same time.

The current world record (as of the date of this writing) for the largest simultaneous dog stay involved 627 dogs at an event called “Super Sit” organized by the RSPCA at the Wag and Bone Show, Windsor Great Park (UK) on August 6, 2005.

The Canadian Record is 130 dogs. We hope to have 200 dogs participating to set a new Canadian Record. We are working towards the World record, so join us and be part of the team.

Please Note: For the safety of all the dogs
All dogs will be on a lead and the handler will stand slightly away from the dog to enable observers to see the dog. The leash must remain slack throughout the 2 minute stay.

It's free for individuals to participate in this event. However, each participate does need an admission ticket for themselves and an admission ticket for their dog. Click here to see the event ticket prices.

If you want to participate in this event but your dog won't stay for even 5 seconds, never mind 2 minutes!!

Don't worry, we have all been there with our dogs.

June 23, 2009 ----- Our first record attempt

At Barkham on June 20, 2009, 86 people and their dogs came together on a very damp, rainy day to attempt to set the Canadian Record for The Largest Simultaneous Dog Stay. Of the 86 dogs, 71 stayed for 2 minutes. It was a truly awesome and moving experience.

We will set the Canadian Record and ultimately we will break the Guinness World Record of 627 dogs.
